Kondagaon is a municipality that lies 70 km away from the city of Jagdalpur and is the administrative headquarters for the District of Kondagaon within Chhattisgarh. It is the third biggest city within the Division of Bastar. It is governed by its own municipality and had a population of 40,921 people as of the year 2011.
