Click here for help." Enter your email address, and we'll send you your password. 2. What does "beta" mean? Housing.com is currently a "beta" web site. This means that the site is still being tested and over the next several months we will continue to add products and services. Does Housing.com act as a real estate agent? No. Housing.com, much like your local newspaper, is a means for home owners, real estate agents, leasing agents, and developers to advertise properties for sale. 4. Will it cost me anything to use Housing.com? Housing.com is completely free for property searching. Listing a property for sale is currently free and will remain free during the next several months of our beta testing phase. Please note that we eventually will charge a fee for listing a property. 5. How can I modify my Housing.com property listing? You can modify your listing information by first logging into your Housing.com account. Next go to the "Edit" link found to the right of the "Status" and "Address" fields. Click on the "‘Edit" link to modify your listing information. 6. How many photos can I upload? You may upload a maximum of 5 photos. 7. I finished creating my property listing but it does not appear on the Housing.com site? Log into your Housing.com account and make sure you have published your property. At the left you will see your property Status. If it says, "Not Published", then you have not yet made it available for people searching for properties. You must click the "Publish" link in order to make your listing available to buyers. 8. My home is for rent. Can I advertise it on Housing.com? No, not directly. However, if you are renting your home privately, you can advertise it by going to our partner, Rent.com. Rent.com rental listings can be viewed on Housing.com. 9. How often does Housing.com get new listings? Every day! Property owners and realtors are adding new properties to our database on a daily basis. 10. I found a listing that contains incorrect information. How can the listing be corrected? Whatever your inquiry regarding a property found on the site, please contact the seller directly. You can contact the seller by clicking on the "Contact Seller" link in the "Seller Information" section of the property listing. 11. Why can't I see the full address of the property? The seller chooses whether or not to display the full property address. If you want to know the full property address, you must contact the seller by email by clicking on the "Contact Seller" link in the "Seller Information" section of the property listing. 12. I found a property I love. How do I get more information?? Whenever you need more information on a particular property, please contact the seller directly. You can contact the seller by clicking on the "Contact Seller" link in the "Seller Information" section of the property listing. 13. How do I find a real estate agent? Click on the "Buy/Rent" tab and go to our "Find an Agent" section. Our service partner will match you to the agent that best meets your needs. The agent will then contact you directly. 14. What is the Multiple Listing Service? The Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is a marketing organization for realtors. Realtors belonging to the MLS have joined together for the purpose of pooling their listings in exchange for a potentially larger audience of buyers. The brokers agree to share commissions. 15. How does Housing.com use information that I enter on the site? Your privacy is extremely important to us. It is our policy only to collect customer information when it is obvious why the information is required, and to use this data only to improve your experience using Housing.com (for example by automatically completing forms with stored information so that you don't have to give us the same information twice). The information you provide to Housing.com will not be distributed to other companies without your permission. |
