Dahegam is a city and municipality in the District of Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The area stands at an elevation of 73 meters. The population of the area stood at 42,632 people in the year 2011. The languages spoken here include Hindi and Gujarati. Dahegam was absorbed into the Gandhinagar District once the division of the Ahmedabad District took place in the year 1998. Dahegam Taluka was established back in 1875 AD during the rule of the Gaekwad Dynasty. It became a Nagar Palika in 1987. The coordinates of the area are 23.1637° N, 72.8102° E.
