It has a lot of government offices, English medium schools, good ones around. Bus stand are also very close and we can easily get auto rickshaws from here. It is very convenient place.

Uran is actually a very old locality so roads are quite narrow and have withered. They need regular maintaining which they don't get enough. Otherwise closeness to sea and the location itself is very nice.

Flats are accessible at a reasonable price in Uran, and there are numerous medical services. There are several fantastic restaurants in Uran, so you will have plenty of alternatives. Uran is also less polluted. But, the connectivity is really poor here and not all delivery services deliver food or groceries here.

Uran is well-known for its beaches and, of course, its seafood. Here, crime is basically non-existent. Schools are nearby, so it's a nice location overall. There is a transport issue in Uran. There are also occasional power outages here. There is no ola/uber service in Uran.

Like most places in Mumbai, Uran is also quite congested. There are often traffic jams that cause a lot of inconvenience. The place is otherwise fine as the people around are nice and very helpful.

High-speed water boats connect Mumbai (Mora jetty on Uran Side to Bhàucha Dhakka Ferry Wharf) on the Mumbai coast near Mazgaon Dock region). NMMC buses 30 and 31 run frequently from Pensioner Park Bus Stop to NMMC Vashi, Koparkhairne, Kalamboli Panvel, and other locations.

The world-famous Elephanta Caves and island are only a 15-minute boat ride away from Uran. Locality-wise, the area is decent. But, there are no zomato or swiggy in Uran. Also, during rainy days, the area becomes unsanitary.

A railway station is under construction here, so that causes a lot of traffic around the area. This has also detoured traffic and caused pollution. Otherwise it is a decent place and is well developed.
