About 8 kilometers separate Vadgaon Budruk Village from Pune's city core. Before 1990, the village's primary economic activity was farming, and it was quite small. Vadgaon Budruk, which has a thick forest close to parts of a river and a creek, served as one of the pauses for sheep traveling from the Konkan to areas inland.
