Mahim was the earlier form of islands that were gifted to the English King, King Charles II, as a wedding dowry for Catherine of Braganza, the Portuguese princess. Mahim is surrounded by the Arabian Sea on the west and Dharavi, Bandra and Dadar on the north. Mahim has a total population of 83662 with an area of 1.9 km². The coordinates of Mahim are Infrastructure and Details Mahim has a church, fire temple and mosque located within a few meters from each other. Some of the other famous places here are Makhdoom Ali Mahimi, Mithi River, St. Michael's Church, Back Bay and Mahim Causeway.
