It has a boundary of East Garo Hills on the North, West Khasi Hilles on the East, West Garo Hills on the West and Bangladesh on the South. As of 2011, the population is 142,334. The tourist landmarks are Baghmara, Nengkong, Siju, Balpakram, Imilchang Dare. Garo is the primary language; apart from that, A’Tong language is also familiar with the Bengali language sideways.
