After being split from the Lower Subansiri district came the new Papum Pare district, which is now known to be an administrative district located in Arunachal Pradesh. As of the 2011 census, it is considered to be one of the most populated districts in the state. With an overall surface area of 2,875 sq. km, the total population of this district is about 176,573. The common languages spoken here include Hindi, Nyishi and Bengali. Infrastructure and Details Papum Pare will soon get its own airport, as Itanagar Airport is under construction now. Once finished, it will be located at a distance of 14 km from the main city.
