Mhada Konkan Lottery 2024 (October 2024)
The Mhada Konkan Lottery 2024 is held by the Mhada Konkan Board. While majority of the housing units are given out in the Konkan region, the board also gives some housing units in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
Mhada housing lottery deadline extended
The Mhada Konkan Board announced lottery of 12,626 housing units on October 11, 2024 of which 11,187 units are part of Mhada Konkan First Come First Serve units. The remaining 1,439 units can be applied using the Mhada IHLMS 2.0 website. These consist of units in in the Konkan region such as Sindhudurg, Malvan, Oras, Vengurla etc. Also, units are provided in the MMR in Thane, Kalyan, Titwala and Raigarh.

The Mhada Pune Board is offering 6,294 affordable housing units. The Mhada Pune Lottery 2024 are available in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, Satara, Sangli, Solapur and Kolhapur. The Mhada Lottery 2024 Mumbai offered 2,030 flats. The online registration and application process began on August 9, 2024 and the lucky draw was conducted on October 8, 2024. The Mhada Nashik lottery 2024 was divided into five schemes under which 311 were part of the FCFS scheme. Over 69 were part of the PMAY scheme. Mhada lottery 2024: Documents required
Registered mobile number
Mobile number should be linked to Aadhar card. Lottery related information and OTP will be sent through SMS.
Registered email id
Registered email id where OTP and all lottery related information will be sent as email.
Aadhar card
A clear image of front side and back side of Aadhar card has to be uploaded at the time of registration. If married, spouse Aadhar card also has to be uploaded.
PAN card
A clear readable image of PAN card has to be uploaded at the time of registration. If married, the PAN card of the spouse also has to be uploaded.
Domicile certificate
- Note that the domicile certificate should have been issued within last 5 years (after January 2018) and must have MahaOnline/MahaIT barcode.
- In absence of domicile certificate, apply for one at Aaple Sarkar or nearest Maha e-Seva Kendra and enter the application ID/ number on the registration form and you can proceed with the Mhada lottery registration process. This is subject to condition that you will give the domicile certificate before taking possession of the Mhada unit, in case you win.
ITR (self)
Upload the ITR acknowledgement receipt of FY2023-24. Note that upload of salary slip or Form 16 in place of ITR acknowledgement receipt will be considered invalid. If married, upload ITR acknowledgement receipt of FY2023-24 for spouse too.
Income proof
Select the income certificate button and upload the Tahsildar or Maha e-Seva Kendra certified Income certificate for FY2023-24 (it should have MahaOnline/MahaIT barcode).
PMAY registration certificate
It is not compulsory for applicants registering under the Mhada Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 scheme to have the PMAY registration certificate at the time of applying for the lottery. The PMAY U 2.0 certificate has to be shown before taking possession of the unit.

Mhada Lottery refund policy
Unsuccessful applicants of a Mhada Lottery will get the EMD refund within seven working days. However, note that the application fee and the GST is non-refundable.

Can you rent out your Mhada flat?
- While a Mhada lottery flat owner cannot sell his flat for five years from the date of purchase, he can rent it out.
- To let out your Mhada lottery flat on rent, Mhada lottery flats owners have to pay for an NOC ranging between Rs 2,000 and Rs 5,000, depending on which category the owner belongs to.
- Mhada lottery flat owners renting their properties also have to submit their Leave and Licence agreement to Mhada.
Can you sell your Mhada flat?
A Mhada lottery flat owner can sell his flat only after five years from the date of purchase of the Mhada unit. However, many times Mhada lottery flat owners sell it before the five-year lock-in period by providing the buyer a power of attorney (PoA) document and not the registered deed of the Mhada flat. A buyer can be evicted from the house if Mhada conducts a surprise check, as sale through PoA is illegal.
Things to remember when you buy a resale Mhada flat
- Ensure that the owner gives a no-dues certificate from the society, original allotment letter from Mhada, the share certificate given by the society to the owner and a letter mentioning transfer of the share certificate.
- Once done, the buyer has to pay the stamp duty and registration fee for the Mhada flat.
- Contact Mhada for transfer certificate on the unit once the house has been registered under the new buyer’s name. For this, you have to submit the documents including the registered papers and a transfer fee. The entire process may take close to six months.
