How to participate in a BDA auction?
- One can participate in BDA e-auction through the official BDA website https://eng.bdabangalore.org/
- First time users must register themselves.
- Go to the BDA e-auction portal on e-procurement website https://eproc.karnataka.gov.in/eprocurement/common/eproc_auctions_list.seam
- Search for the interested sites by selecting BDA from the department section, auction status, etc.
- Download the documents and complete the registration process.
- After registration, login to the portal and fill auction submission summary including payment of auction fee, EMD and uploading of documents. Click on the declaration.
- To participate in the bid, search for the site in the portal, login to the portal, select auction management, choose live auction and click on bid.

The BDA announced the e-auction of residential and commercial corner/ intermediate sites. The auction or sale of these sites take place as per the Bangalore Development Authority’s Disposal of Corner Sites, Intermediate Sites and other Auctionable Sites Rules, 1984. The sites are auctioned on ‘As Is Where Is’ basis. The e-auction fee should be remitted as specified on the e-Procurement portal.
How to apply for BDA sites auction?
To apply for BDA e auction, visit the portal https://eproc.karnataka.gov.in/eprocportal/pages/index.jsp and follow the steps mentioned below:
- On the home page, click on ‘Auctions’
- On the next page, select the department as Bangalore Development Authority and auction status as live auction. Then, click on ‘Search’.
- The page will display the list of sites
Users who wish to participate in the e auction should register themselves on the site by providing relevant details like name, user id, password, email, contact details, PAN, bank details, etc.
- Select the site number from the list and click on the green icon.
- Read the terms and conditions carefully and select the right option from yes/no in the next page ‘general conditions of eligibility.’
- The auction processing fee is Rs 500 and EMD is Rs 4 lakh. Users can pay the fee through online or offline payment modes. The e-auction fee should be remitted as specified on the e-Procurement portal.
- Eligible bidders should upload auction documents like ID proof, address proof, PAN, etc.
- Complete the declaration and submit the application.
- In the next step, click on ‘bid’ option and enter the bid amount.

BDA sites auction eligibility criteria
- The participant should be a citizen of India.
- Minors or persons without computer knowledge can participate in the auction with the help guardians or friends.
- Partnerships firms are allowed to participate.
BDA sites allotment
The bidders are required to physically check the location of the site, road width, etc. before bidding. Typically, BDA specifies a minimum requirement of tow bidders for each site. Single bidder in a site is not allowed to participate.
After the successful completion of e-auction, the auctioned sites are allotted to the successful bidders in the same condition as they are. Allotted sites cannot be cancelled or substituted. The EMD amount for unsuccessful bidders will be credited to their account.
