The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is responsible for planning, regulating, controlling, monitoring and facilitating sustainable urban development in the Bangalore metropolitan area. Various departments under the BDA undertake these development activities.

The BDA is responsible for urban planning tasks such as constructing major and developing city’s master plans. Further, one of the main responsibilities of BDA involves and acquiring and developing land or sites and selling them through e-auction. Those interested in these plots can visit the official BDA website and participate in the e-auction. In this guide, we explain the process of applying for the BDA e-auction.

 

 

How to participate in a BDA auction?

Date of commencement of live bidding 08.09.2025 (For SI No. 1 to 38), 11 am

The BDA announced the e-auction of residential and commercial corner/ intermediate sites. The auction or sale of these sites take place as per the Bangalore Development Authority’s Disposal of Corner Sites, Intermediate Sites and other Auctionable Sites Rules, 1984. The sites are auctioned on ‘As Is Where Is’ basis. The e-auction fee should be remitted as specified on the e-Procurement portal.  

 

How to apply for BDA sites auction?

To apply for BDA e auction, visit the portal  https://eproc.karnataka.gov.in/eprocportal/pages/index.jsp and follow the steps mentioned below:

Users who wish to participate in the e auction should register themselves on the site by providing relevant details like name, user id, password, email, contact details, PAN, bank details, etc.

BDA sites allotment

The bidders are required to physically check the location of the site, road width, etc. before bidding. Typically, BDA specifies a minimum requirement of tow bidders for each site. Single bidder in a site is not allowed to participate.

After the successful completion of e-auction, the auctioned sites are allotted to the successful bidders in the same condition as they are. Allotted sites cannot be cancelled or substituted.  The EMD amount for unsuccessful bidders will be credited to their account.  

Interested participants must go through the BDA’s terms and conditions before bidding and participate accordingly.
