Bangalore-Mysore Expressway: Route
The Bangalore-Mysore Expressway will feature 49 underpasses, 69 bus bays, 13 overpasses and fencing on both sides of the access-controlled, six-lane road to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted journey. This expressway will also include a greenfield bypass. The bypasses will cover various sections: a 22 km stretch for Ramanagaram and Channapatana combined, an 8 km stretch for Mandya, a 10 km stretch for Srirangapatana, a 4 km stretch for Maddur, and a 7 km stretch for Bidadi. These bypasses will allow commuters to avoid all these major towns, providing a direct and efficient route between Bangalore and Mysore.

Bangalore-Mysore Expressway: Phases
The expressway shortening the distance between Bangalore and Mysore is developed in two phases simultaneously. In addition to four ROBs (railway overbridges), the expressway will feature 19 large bridges, 44 small bridges and 44 micro bridges. It will also include 50 underpasses for pedestrians and vehicles.
- Phase 1: The first phase connects Bangalore to Nidaghatta, starting from Panchamukhi Ganapathi Temple on NICE Road. This phase, spanning approximately 56.2 km, will cost a total of Rs 3,900 Cr, with Rs 1,600 Cr allocated for land acquisition.
- Phase 2: The second phase extends from Nidaghatta to Mysore. Covering a road length of 61.1 km, this phase is estimated to cost around Rs 3,600 Cr, including Rs 1,200 Cr for land acquisition.
Bangalore-Mysore Expressway: Toll rates in 2024
Starting from April 1, 2024, the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway toll rates have been updated as follows:
- For the trip between Nidaghatta and Mysore, the toll charges are now Rs 160 for a single journey and Rs 240 for a round trip for cars, vans, and jeeps.
- For vehicles travelling on the Bangalore-Nidaghatta segment, the toll fee is Rs 170 for a one-way trip and Rs 255 for a round trip, effective April 12.
- Beginning July 1, car users will be charged Rs 320 for a single journey and Rs 485 for a round trip on the Bangalore-Mysore Expressway.
- Toll rates for the journey between Nidaghatta and Mysore remain at Rs 160 for a single trip and Rs 240 for cars, vans, and jeeps.
