August 2, 2024: Cidco has warned homebuyers on not falling prey to the rumours about the Mass Housing Scheme being launched. “Please note that no housing scheme has been officially launched for the sale of these units. Cidco has observed that misinformation about its Mass Housing Scheme is being circulated on social media platforms, and we urge the public to exercise caution and verify information through official channels to avoid confusion,” said the authority in an official statement.
Cidco is developing various Mass Housing Schemes in various locations across Navi Mumbai. These include affordable housing units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
The authority also mentioned that it has not appointed any service centre or agency for the sale of these tenements. According to the official statement, it mentioned that Cidco will not be held liable for any financial losses incurred by individuals who fall victim to fraudulent schemes or misinformation.
Report false information
The Cidco has asked people to report misleading news or information in the form of a written complaint to Cidco’s Vigilance Department, 6th Floor, Cidco Bhavan.
