The Hyderabad Metro Green Line is a 16.6-km metro long line, part of the Hyderabad Metro system. This metro has been developed under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode between the Telangana State and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) with the government having minority stake. L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (L&TMRHL), a special purpose vehicle (SPV) company was put in place to develop the Hyderabad Metro Rail project. There are 15 stations on the Hyderabad Metro Green Line of which nine are operational.

With free bus ride scheme for women offered by the Telangana government, the Hyderabad Metro that includes three lines namely Hyderabad Green Line, Hyderabad Red Line and Hyderabad Blue Line has seen a dip in ridership on the Hyderabad Metro. Because of this the revenue of the Hyderabad Metro has seen an impact. Thus, L&T which owns 90% of the Hyderabad Metro is planning to exit the project by 2026.
