The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA), in a bid to make home buyers understand about the working, benefits and support provided by the regulatory body, has set up counselling and advisory services at its head office in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). With this, the MahaRERA became the first regulatory body in India to offer such a service to home buyers and developers.

Under this service, the MahaRERA will help homebuyers on issues like how to approach a real estate related problem, how to file a complaint in case of delayed possession, change in area of the property or delay in giving possession of the property. They will also notify on the status of the case. Additionally, developers can take assistance in terms of how to fill the MahaRERA form, quarterly status of the project, status of project problems, the way to account for money received from homebuyers etc. Note that this offering is not of much benefit to brokers.
The service provided by the MahaRERA is free of cost, and buyers can walk in anytime without even taking an appointment.
