January 3, 2024: The Maharashtra Housing and Development Authority (Mhada) Mumbai Board will auction around 170 shops in Mumbai. These are the pending shops left with the Mumbai Board to be auctioned. The shops ranging between 9 to 200 metre will be auctioned in the e-auction.
Media reports suggest that the advertisement of the auction will be out by January end 2024. Mhada Mumbai Board has marked the bid amount of the shops to be between Rs 25 and Rs 13 crore.
Once the advertisement is out, interested people can apply by paying the earnest money deposit (EMD) for participating in the auction. After issuing the final list of accepted participants, Mhada Mumbai Board will hold the e-auction in February, based on the total number of people participation.
