Mudumalai shares borders with Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala to the West, Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Karnataka to the North and the Nilgiris Division to the South and East. The Mudumalai National Park safari is open all year. It is best to visit in early summer or after the monsoons (February to May) for spotting animals. If you like cooler weather, September and October are suitable, but animal sightings are less likely. Due to muddy trails and unsuitable conditions, don’t go during July and August.
