Purple line metro route: Construction
The Virar neighbourhood will be linked to Mira Bhayander by the Mumbai purple metro route section. With a planned price tag of Rs. 6900 crore, the stretch will be longer than 23 kilometres. It is in the building phase and will be referred to as the Purple line metro route in Mumbai. This route is currently the subject of a thorough project report. 2025 is when it is anticipated to be finished.

Tokens and smart cards are offered to passengers by the Mumbai metro.
Tokens

Smart card
- At each Mumbai metro station’s customer care counter, you can purchase a smart card, an electronic card. You must deposit 50 rupees as a security deposit, then add 100, 200, 300, 500, or 1000 more to replenish it.
- The trip cost from one station to another is taken from the card when tapped on the exit gate.
- The token is ideal for people who don’t travel often, and a smart card is the finest option for those who do.
