During Navratri — which begins this year (2022) on September 26 and ends on October 5 with Dussehra, Hindus across India follow their specific traditions, to usher in the festive season that would last us well till January. India being a diverse country, there are specific ways in which Navratri is celebrated in each state. However, the code for Navratri colours remains the same for everyone.

Since these nine days are dedicated to the nine different forms of the Goddess Durga, women across India try to replicate the colours of the festival as the dress code for that particular day. The day of the festivities, also plays a role in determinig the Navratra colour code.

Since your sartorial choice are an integral part of all the celebrations, here is our guide to follow the Navratra colour code while deciding on your clothing choice during the nine-day festivities.
