There is a set format through which you can apply for a PAN card in India. The Income Tax Department has put in place a prescribed format using which you can apply for a new PAN card. This prescribed format is known as Form 49A.

Form 49A can be used by Indian citizens, Indian companies, entities incorporated in India and unincorporated entities formed in India, to apply for a PAN card.

This form must be filled for allotment of PAN by individuals who are an Indian citizen or companies that are incorporated outside India.

How to fill apply for PAN Card?

There are 2 ways to fill and submit PAN card application online:

  1. Physical form submission
  2. Digital submission

 

 

Physical form submission

For physical submission, print the form after the online data entry, attach photos and send the application along with required documents to the following address:

The charges for applying for a new PAN is Rs 93, excluding GST, for Indian citizens. The fee is Rs 864, excluding GST, for foreign communication addresses.
