Semmancheri, a neighbourhood in southern Chennai, is seeing fast growth. Between Sholinganallur and Navalur, it may be found along the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR). The real estate market in this area is being fueled by the improvement of transportation links (such as the forthcoming phase 2 metro), the presence of major employment centres (such as SIPCOT IT Park), and the area's proximity to these centres (thanks to OMR). Semmancheri can be reached from East Coast Road through Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR). It is possible to get to various parts of Chennai from Semmancheri via this major thoroughfare. The nearest train station, Perungudi, is about 15 kilometres away. The orange line stop at Perungudi is the closest metro station to you in Chennai and is 15 kilometres away. The distance to Chennai's international airport is about 25 kilometres. To improve transportation along OMR, the second section of the metro line is being built from Madhavaram to Siruseri IT park. A number of prestigious schools, like Amethyst International School, HLC International School, University of Madaras, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, etc., can be found nearby.
