Earlier Wadala was called Parel, Matunga, Dharavi etc. This place comes under Mumbai Municipal Corporation and covers the area of 6.52 sq. km. People here experience hot and humid weather with powerful monsoons. Wadala has estimated population of 143064 and the male and female populations are 74526 and 68538 respectively.
