According to the terms of article 3 of the constitution, the Andhra Pradesh and Madras Alteration of Boundaries Act was passed by the Indian Parliament in 1959 and took effect on April 1st, 1960. In accordance with the law, the Tirutani Taluk and Pallipattu Sub-Taluk of the Chittoor District in Andhra Pradesh were given to Madras State in exchange for territory from the Salem and Chengalpattu Districts of Chingelput. After serving as a state assembly district in Tamil Nadu from 1977 to 2007, Pallipattu joined Tiruttani (State Assembly Constituency). It is also a part of Arakkonam (Lok Sabha constituency). It is a lovely and picturesque area. Nearby are all the necessary amenities including stores, hospitals, schools, and colleges.
