Ullal is a small town in the southern part of Mangalore city, close to the border between the states of
Karnataka and Kerala. Ullal is primarily a fishing village settled on the south banks of river
Nethravathi. The road transport of this town is very strong, since Mangalore is well connected with
cities like Bangalore and Mumbai, so getting in and around Ullal is quite convenient. The Edapally-
Panvel Highway crosses the town, further joining Mangalore-Bangalore Highway and straight to
National Highway 66 (Solapur-Mangalore Highway). The rail transport is facilitated from the Ullal
Railway Station. The nearby areas include Thokottu, which is a prime commercial complex and
