The Wankhede Stadium is operated by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). It is the home ground of Nita Ambani’s IPL Team – Mumbai Indians. Established in 1974, the stadium was built in 13 months. It started operations in 1975 with the India – West Indies final test match. The stadium was named after S K Wankhede, secretary of the MCA.
