The ‘God of Cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar celebrates his 51th birthday on April 24, 2024. He enjoys a huge fan following not only in India but all across the world.
Tendulkar finished his cricketing career 18,426 runs in ODIs and 15,921 runs in tests. He also fulfilled his dream of winning the World Cup for India in 2011 under the captaincy of M S Dhoni.
Honouring Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, the Sydney Cricket Ground has named a set of gates after both of them that was unveiled on April 24, 2023.

Also, on April 22, 2023, it was the 25th anniversary of Sachin Tendulkar’s desert storm, where the Master Blaster played one of the best innings of One day International. The match was against Australia and was held in Sharjah. Sharjah Cricket Ground unveiled the Sachin Tendulkar Stand on the occasion of his 50th birthday. The Sharjah Cricket Ground holds a special place in Tendulkar’s career.

Sachin Tendular is the mentor of the ‘Mumbai Indians’ team and his ‘Arjun Tendulkar’ is part of the ‘Mumbai Indians’ team.
Sachin Tendulkar’s home is also a marvel in every sense. Tendulkar and his wife own two real estate properties at prominent locations.
One of them is at Perry Cross Road in Bandra west, where the couple moved in 2011. This is a spacious villa of over 6,000 sqft, which was redeveloped on a plot that earlier housed a dilapidated bungalow, purchased for Rs 39 crore in 2007.
The cricketer bought another property for his wife, Anjali Tendulkar, in Rustomjee Seasons at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) for Rs 7.5 crore, which is a 1,600-sq ft apartment and has all modern-day luxury amenities that one can hope for.

Here are all the details about the master-blaster’s residence in Mumbai:
- The bungalow on Perry Road is at a prime location in Mumbai’s suburbs and overlooks the Arabian Sea. The locality is home to many other film stars and celebrities. This is also the one of the most expensive locations in Mumbai’s suburbs due to its proximity to the sea.
- Tendulkar has taken an insurance cover of Rs 100 crore for the house. It includes a fire insurance policy of Rs 75 crore and an additional cover of Rs 25 crore for the interiors. The policy also covers damages due to terrorism activities, act-of-God peril (like earthquake), bomb blast and burglary. Items such as cost of the bungalow land, compound walls, electrical equipment, security installations and water reservoir, are covered under the insurance.
- It is a three-storeyed mansion and has two basements, which can accommodate 40-50 cars at a time. The upper basement has a secondary kitchen, servant quarters and a master surveillance area for security purposes.
- The house has a high-walled fence that restricts the view from outside. The ground floor has a temple, where Tendulkar’s mother spends most of her time.
- The kitchen, as you can see in the video, has a very simplistic interior. A modern cooktop with granite countertop makes the kitchen look sleek and elegant.
