Delhi RERA withdraws order passed to stop property registrations

December 6, 2023: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) issues standard directives to be followed by developers/promoters/ stakeholders for promotions and advertisements of the real estate projects. This directive has been issued after UP-RERA issued notices to 130 promoters for violation of norms related to advertisement of the realty projects on December 1, 2023.

Under the directive, the UP-RERA has mentioned that it is necessary for all advertisements and marketing materials of realty projects to include the project RERA registration number and the UP-RERA portal in big and bold fonts in a prominent place, when used in platforms including newspapers, magazines, brochures, leaflets, electronic media, outdoor media, social media and the digital media.

All those found not complying with this directive will be dealt with strict action taken by the UP-RERA. The order mentioned that all media houses not following the directive will be reported to the ministry of information and broadcast and action will be taken against them.
