DMRC awards Rs 412 crore contract to HG Infra Engineering

Ghaziabad Development Authority asks DMRC to prepare metrolite on two metro routes

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has awarded a contract worth over Rs 410 crore to infrastructure company HG Infra Engineering Ltd. On January 13, 2023, DMRC gave the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to the company for the design and construction of an elevated viaduct and four elevated Metro stations on the Delhi Metro network.

Earlier in January 2023, HG Infra Engineering emerged as the lowest bidder with a bid cost of Rs 412.11 crore against DMRC’s estimated value of Rs 398.63 crore. Work on the 3.512-km section is expected to be completed in 24 months.

The Metro project’s scope covers part design and construction of an elevated viaduct and four Metro stations, Keshopur, Paschim Vihar, Peeragarhi, and Mangolpuri, from P2 to PP88 from P103 to Mangolpuri Station on the Janakpuri West-RK Ashram section under Delhi Metro Phase IV project.

The 29-km Janakpuri West-RK Ashram metro route will comprise of 25 stations. It is one of the three priority corridors out of the six metro corridors, which received approval from the union cabinet in March 2019.
