Diamond harbour is a town in the South 24 Pargana district of West Bengal. Situated on the eastern bank of the river Hooghly, Diamond harbour is located at the point where the river Ganges turns southward to the Bay of Bengal.Diamond harbour is 51 km away from Kolkata and can be reached via trains or buses from Kolkata. Earlier known as Hajipur, Diamond harbour has a fort built by the Portuguese at Chingrikhali. The visitors on their way to the famous Gangasagar pass through diamond harbour. According to the recent census, diamond harbour had a total population of 41,802, of which 21,050 were males, and 20,752 were females. The total literacy rate is 78.4%, with the male literacy rate at 81.7% and the female literacy rate at 75%. Diamond harbour municipality covers an area of 10.36 square km and is divided into 16 wards. It is situated on National Highway no. 12. Diamond harbour is famous for its picturesque view of the Ganges delta. Our neighbourhood is densely forested and has a pleasant environment. Because there are so many street lights, it is extremely safe. Local trains and buses provide excellent service. I recommend this place to people who work in Diamond harbour.

The surroundings are very open, and we can get some online services in this area. Water is safe to drink. It is part of a municipality. There are some very nice places to leave.
