Diu is a town in the district of Diu within the territory of Daman. The Diu town lies at the easternmost point of the island of Diu and has landmarks like a cathedral from the Portuguese times and a fortress. It is a charming fishing town and is one of the cities shortlisted under the Smart Cities Mission. Diu is a part of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Union Territory.
