Founded in 1959 by the visionary entrepreneur Mr S Appaswamy, Appaswamy Real Estate Ltd is a highly respected leading Real Estate conglomerate, headquartered in Chennai.

Our Chairman, Mr Appaswamy is widely credited to have introduced in the early 1960's the “Apartment Culture” in Chennai offering elegantly designed residences. These apartments were hugely appreciated by the burgeoning upper middle class in Chennai and laid the foundations for the 2nd & 3rd generation buyers of Appaswamy residences.It has more than 10,000 strong and loyal customer-base and has executed more than 10 million sq ft of residential, commercial and IT space. In addition, Appaswamy Real Estate, builders in Chennai, pioneered the concept of creating townships in key suburban locations through the urban development model that is now being replicated.

In the early 90's, Appaswamy Real Estate forayed in to the hospitality sector The Residency Group of Hotels strategically located in Chennai, Coimbatore & Karur established new standards for business hotels in South India.The Residency Group of Hotels enjoys a reputation for excelling in all parameters of the industry, a high level of occupancy, quality service, and total customer satisfaction. The group is also entering into strategic tie-ups and taking up professional management of other hotels in other parts of the country. In 2016, the Hospitality division made its International debut in Maldives, with the opening of an uber luxury resort boasting of avant - garde designs under the highly prestigious St. REGIS brand.
