Palwal is a district located in Haryana state in northern India. It is the 21st district and the city headquarter. Also, it is part of the National capital region. The place is famous as the center of the cotton trade. Spread over an area of 1359 square kilometers, it has a latitude of 28° 40' N and a longitude of 76° 59' E. It came into being on 15th August 1979, when Gurgaon district was divided to form the new Faridabad district, and Palwal came from it.
