It is known for its Vangani railway station along the Mumbai Suburban Railway’s Central Line on the Mumbai-Karjat Route along with the SH-43 which passes through the locality. Vangani is divided into Vangani Gaon and the Market zone. The Bhagirath waterfall is a major landmark in the locality along with the Pandav Kalin Shankar Temple at Kadav Pada. Other attractions include the God Tiger and Goddess Wagheshwari Devi Temple. The locality lies in Vangani Village at Jawhar Taluka in the Thane District. The coordinates are 19.094628°N 73.3°E while the languages spoken include Marathi, English, and Hindi.
