The village has been known for its stone offerings to the deity in the temple. Fishing and aquaculture are also the primary occupations in the village. The village is easily accessible by road and there is a bus stand nearby. There are also many hotels for the tourists to stay. The village is known for its warm hospitality towards the visitors and is one of the most visited places in Visakhapatnam.
