Brajarajnagar is an upcoming town in the Jharsuguda district of Orissa. The place is famous for the now-defunct Orient Paper Mills of Birlas and MCL owned Coal mines. Brajarajnagar is positioned on the National Highway 200 that connects Raipur (capital of Chattisgarh) with Chandikhole in Orissa. Many private run and government buses conduct daily transport services from here to major cities of Orissa like Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Rourkela and Sambalpur. Brajarajnagar Railway Station is a halt on the Tatanagar-Bilaspur section of the Howrah-Nagpur-Mumbai line, thus allowing the dwellers to stay connected with the rest of the country. There are several reputed educational institutions that are located in and around the place along with popular medical centers that heavily contribute towards upgrading the quality of life in Brajarajnagar.
