Nashik, also known as mini Maharashtra is the third largest district in Maharashtra. The Western Ghats or Sahyadri Range stretches from North to south across the western portion of the district with lush mountainous terrain offers an excellent scenic beauty. The city covers almost 259.13 km sq. and people here experience a relatively mild version of a tropical wet and dry climate. Nashik has 782,517 males and 703,536 females with coordinates of 20.00°N 73.78°E. People here speak in Marathi, Hindi and English.

The municipal Corporation of Nashik governs this district. Nashik is also called Padmananagar, and famous for Trirashami Caves (8.9 km), The Statue of Ahimsa (124.7 km), Trimbakeshwar Temple (30.1km), Nahapana Vihara (8 km) and several Dams such as Gangapur Dam (16.9 km), Chankapur Dam (60 km) etc. There are two national highways pass through this district, Bombay-Agra Road and Poona-Nashik Road. The latter meets the former in Nashik. Nearby railway station of Nashik is Nashik Road Railway station. Also, the nearby domestic airport is Nashik Airport which is located at Ozar and an old airport at Gandhinagar, which connects Nashik to Mumbai. The domestic airport is connected to Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Some of the best educational institutions of Nashik include Delhi Public School Nashik, Global International School CBSE Nashik and Excel Public School. And top colleges here K. K.
