Kharar is a town and a municipal council located in Mohali district in the Punjab State of India. The locality is quite close to Mohali city and the area of Kharar is considered a part of the "Greater Mohali" region. The area is a block that falls in the Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district and placed in the urban region of Punjab.
