one of the main attraction of egmore is it stunning architecture. and neighbourhood area hub of cultural activity ,with the wide number of museums, galleries, and other performance venues. another highlights of Egmore are the traditional Tamil music and the contemporary art exhibition. it is also famous for its streat foods, biryani, kebabs etcread more

the area is very congested with narrow roads and uncontrol traffic. it is hard to navigate, even to work and the continuous honking of horns of vehicles can be suffocating. also the streets are poorly maintained.read more

Good things here
Living here has been a wonderful experience and I feel safe and secure with low crime rates and enjoy easy access to amenities like grocery stores parks schools and public transportation. the vibrant community events and green species add to the charm. Good transport system available.read more

Egmore is a good locality with excellent connectivity to schools, hospitals, markets, hotels, bus stands, and offices. The staff at the Egmore hotel are warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The location is close to the central railway station. Egmore, located on the northern banks of the Cooum River, is a neighbourhood of Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India. It is an important residential, commercial and transportation hub of the state. It lies near the thermal equator and coasts, preventing extreme seasonal temperature variations, and Egmore experiences a tropical wet and dry climate. The city coordinates are 13.078°N and 80.259°E. Tamil and English are widely spoken here.

Egmore is a municipal corporation area under the Greater Chennai Corporation. The famous places of Egmore are the Government Museum, National Art gallery, St. Andrew's Church, etc.
Chintadripet (1.26 km), Thousand Lights (2.17 km), and Royapettah (3.02 km) are some of the nearby cities of Egmore. One of the significant roads of this locality is National Highway 114.
