Only problem with the locality is that people need to have their own vehicle transport. Even though small bus comes around every 30 mins. Getting a cab/auto is unreliable 1 out of 10 times.

Good things here

This society has a good security system in place which ensures the safety of its residents. Roads are good but the society is well planned with well laid out roads, parks and public places. This ensures a good quality for its residents. This society is not so much crowded.

Yes it is very quick and easy service available in this area which is best and cheap in price. Yes I feel safe in this area. Street lights blew up at night. Yes there are so many famous school malls and hotels nearby, No I does not face any watershortage

Porur is a premium residential locality in Chennai with robust social and physical infrastructure. The roads are properly maintained and civic structure is good. The only nuisance is the chemical factories nearby which cause air pollution here making it very unsafe for residents, especially our children.

I lived in Porur for about 3 years and it is a good place to reside in. There are many good schools and hospitals nearby. Employment hubs are well connected and there are little instances of power cuts. There is no water scarcity in the area as well.

Porur has some good schools and hospitals nearby. The nearby IT corridor attracts a lot of working professionals here. The roads are not maintained well in some areas, but connectivity is quite good which is set to be even better with the metro project underway.

Porur is a developed locality in Chennai near the IT belt which houses prominent IT companies. The roads are well-maintained and there are good schools nearby. The local market is a walking distance from my home as well. The only downside is defunct street lamps in some areas and high levels of pollution during peak hours.
