Dharamshala is Himachal Pradesh’s winter capital and the administrative headquarters for the District of Kangra. The city will also undergo development as a Smart City in the future. It was made the State’s second capital in 2017. It gets its name from Dharamsal, a legendary Hindu sanctuary that was once present in the area. The city is governed by the Municipal Corporation of Dharamshala and lies at an elevation of 1,457 meters. The population stood at 62,596 people as of the year 2011 and the total area of the city is 27.60 square kilometers. The Dharamshala coordinates are 32.2190° N, 76.3234° E. The city is well connected to areas like Bhagsunag, McLeod Ganj, Forsyth Ganj, and more. It is known for its Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium and also for being home to the iconic Dalai Lama. Dharamshala is also famous for its production of Kangra or Dharamshala tea including green, black, oolong and white varieties.

Yes, this will be a great place to stay and live. Safety should be also there and police station should be also there.
