The railway station is located within 2 km of the area. Frequent police patrolling takes place in the area. Too much traffic creates traffic congestion in the area. The railway station is clean and well-maintained by the Central government.

The bus stops are clean. Several grocery shops are located in the area, solving the basic needs of the local people. Schools, colleges, banks, and hospitals are all located near the locality. However, the unclean sewerage and piled-up garbage create pollution and mosquitoes in the area.

The area experiences rural-urban mixed culture. The metro ensures safe travel to any other areas from the locality. Regular water supply is available in the area. However, in certain areas, there is a sewerage problem resulting in water logging, mainly in the rainy season.

This city is situated on the banks of river Cooum from Chennai and almost 5 km away from megacity border. This place has total area of 33.27 sq. km with coordinates of 13.15°N, 79.91°E. Total population of Tiruvallur is 56,074 and out of that male and females are 35675 and 26574 respectively. The official language of this place is Tamil but English is also widely spoken here. Infrastructure and Details Governed by Tiruvallur municipality, this place holds the position of the administrative headquarters of Tiruvallur district. Tiruvallur is also famous for the Veera Raghavar Temple (2.5km), which is the one of the 108 sacred shrines of Vaishnavites. The Shiva temple (1.9km) and Hanuman temple (1.3km) is also popular among the local people here. As Tiruvallur is located near the Chennai-Tirupati Trunk Road there are many routes like Kakalur, Sevapet, Putlur, Avadi etc connects with the former. The Chennai International Airport (42km) in Tiruvallur is the only airport there along with the Chennai- Bangalore broad gauge railway station.
