Padur is situated very close to the beach making it a prime area for the tourist. Padur is very well connected to the main city of Chennai via roadways and good frequency of government buses are available on this route.

Padur doesn’t face the issue of load sheading and if there are any maintenance works prior notice is given to the residents so that they can be prepared. Due to this many of the small businesses have shifted here as the cost is low.

Children do not have to travel long for their studies as schools and colleges are at close proximity. Day to day commodities can be easily obtained from the local departmental store and are quite cheap as well. Hospitals are in close proximity as well.

Padur doesn’t face the issue of water logging as the locality has good drainage systems which are well maintained by authorities. Traffic lights are present at all major intersections which prevents congestions on the roads even during peak office hours.

Turn mirror are present at steep turnsin Padur which helps large vehicles to turn easily. Speed breakers are present at all major intersections so as to avoid road rage. No potholes are observed on the main road or service road.
