Aizawl is the capital city of Mizoram in India and is the largest city in the state. It is located in the north of the tropic of Cancer with a mild subtropical climate. The city experiences maximum rainfall during May, July, August and September. The city's total area is 129.91 sq. km, and the City elevation is 1,132 m above sea level. Aizawl has an estimated population of 293,416. Mizo and English are the commonly spoken languages of the city.
