In the heart of Hyderabad, you will find the neighbourhood of Basheerbagh. It is now a major hub for commerce and industry. Its proximity to more populous commercial hubs like Abids, Koti, Nampally, and Himayat Nagar has contributed to the neighbourhood's ascent in prominence. Here there stood the illustrious Bashir Bagh Palace. Hussain Sagar Lake is also nearby. Basheerbagh has TSRTC connections to all of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Here, private automobiles and taxis serve as the main modes of public transportation. Nampally, one kilometre from Basheerbagh, you will find the closest train station serving the Hyderabad Multi-Modal Transport System. Many jewellery stores may be found in this area, as can a respectable assortment of shopping centres. Several of the city's most renowned movie theatres, including the Skyline and Sterling, once called this area home. Important government offices are housed here, including the Central Excise and customs and Goods and services tax office, the reservation office for Telangana Tourism, and the Police Commissioner's office. Huge commercial structures such as the Babu Khan Estate (which at one time had 14 stories and was the tallest building in Hyderabad) and the Khan Lateef Khan Estate can be found in this area.
