Lodhi Colony is a Central Government Officers and Staff Residential Colony in the South Central part of New Delhi, built in the 1940s and lies adjacent to the Lodhi Gardens and Lodhi Road. Built in the 1940s to house government employees, with bungalows for senior officials in the nearby Lodhi Estate area. It was one of the last residential areas built during the British Raj. Hindi is the local language here though English is also by a majority of the residents. This locality is connected by DTC bus service, except that it has rail and other transport facilities to commute easily. Lodhi Colony has several centers for higher education nearby, such as the All India Management Association (AIMA) institute and a south-campus Delhi University college - the Dyal Singh College. There are also private schools, including various state schools nearby, such as Kendriya Vidyalaya Pragati Vihar, Air Force Bal Bharati School, and The Banyan Tree School. Good things here

Lodhi colony of New Delhi are many restaurants and clubs are available to go outside Delhi and in Delhi of Lodhi colony it's very good place to visit and have a meal is very cheap here.

Good things here

This the best place i ever lived before because of the metro station cabs autowala's are soo much easily accessible and low traffic make me feel good great cleanliness and low power cuts won my heart and there is no crime history or any type off bad activity has happened with me till then which make me feels safe at night and colony offcourse and the roads outthere are soo much safe for children

school are far away from the the colony which makes me little inconvenient and hospital have to go far away which i think is not good and there is not soo much spacious roads due to which there is no drainage system and water get clogged which is very problematic these things out there i think need to be improved

so I don't have acess to local market or malls however whether there's one nearby depends on your location generally many areas have local market and malls for shopping conveince
