The places situated nearby to Puthur are Chittur-Thathamangalam, Palakkad, Ottappalam and Shoranur. Palakkad Railway Station is a major railway station nearby the locality. There are some major landmarks in the area namely Vadakkanthara Bhagavathi temple, AMVI Infra LLP and Olive fashion Mettupalayam.
