Chittaranjan Park (also known as C.R. Park) is an affluent and upscale neighborhood in South East Delhi and home to a large Bengali community. It was established on rocky terrain in the early 1960s under EPDP Colony (East Pakistan Displaced Persons Colony) and later renamed after the deshbandhu (patriot) Chittaranjan Das in the 1980s. Nowadays, it is considered among the posh localities in South Delhi due to a rise in the market price of its plots. Despite its growing cosmopolitan nature, it remains home to a large Bengali community and Kolkata-style street-food stalls, Bengali cuisine, fish markets, temples, and cultural centers. It hosts many festivities and cultural events. Durga Puja is the most celebrated festival here, which boasts a magnificent marquee. Chittaranjan Park is famous for its Bengali street food and Fish market, where various freshwater fish are available. One can find the best Bengali food in CR Market 1 and Market 2. Chittaranjan Park (C.R Park) is surrounded by many affluent localities of New New Delhi like Lajpat Nagar, Nehru Place, Kalkaji, Siri Fort, and Kailash Colony. Good things here

The street are kept in excellent shape , with a clean and spacious layout, free from any issues. The parks are also in good condition and are regularly looked after. The pub, shopping centers , fitness centers pools, grocery stores, play areas , medical stores and lot of other amenities are available with in the parameter.

Things need improvement

The primary problem resolves around the availability of parking spaces. The level of pollution slightly on the rise because of more traffic congestion . There's significant amount of dust pollution on the streets because of ongoing contruction works. The schools are in close proximity, but the colleges are little far away .The public transportation system is notably inadequate .
