Hinjewadi, A rural region of Pune started to develop in 1998, after the inception of Rajeev Gandhi IT park. Earlier in the mid-1990 local villagers had planned to build a cooperative model sugar factory and they had laid the foundation stone too. However the stakeholders were convinced for setting up of IT hub instead of a sugar factory, and then locals of the Hinjewadi gave up the land for the IT park on getting a new location for their sugar factory.And in this way, 2800 acres of Rajeev Gandhi IT park got their way to Hinjewadi. However, now Hinjewadi has amazed everyone with its remarkable growth from 1998 to 2022. After almost 24 years it is one of the largest IT hubs and it has accommodated 250000 skilled persons, proudly giving its contribution toward the growth of India. It is also called the silicon valley of Pune. Apart from 165 offices of corporate, there lies an educational institute, residential apartment, etc. which has profoundly uplifted the lifestyle at Hinjewadi. From all these goods there lies bad also, Hinjewadi industrial associations are consistently worried about the bad quality of roads and the traffic during peak hours.

Good things here

Blue ridge town is a beautiful place with great and vibrant environment. It has well planned residential layouts with good roads , parks. It is situated near the IT hubs and has well access to educational institutes, healthcare facilities , shopping centres within the town. There are several plentiful green spaces and open areas promoting a healthy lifestyle. This place is amazing to live the life.

Things need improvement

There are frequent traffic jams during peak hours due to its proximity to IT parks. Rapid development lead to noise and dust affecting the standard of living. It has a poor public transport which is not extensive as in central Pune. This area has higher property prices compared to surrounding areas which doesn't suit all budgets. People experience heavy rainfall and occasional waterlogging issues

Good things here

The environment is calm and hygienic with lots of greenery, which is soothing to the eyes. The area is well-maintained with parks, a swimming pool, and a great gym available 24/7 year-round. It is well-connected by public transport and there are good schools and colleges nearby.

Things need improvement

The area faces daily traffic jams, with a major concern being the lack of security. Additionally, the absence of nearby hospitals and clinics is a significant problem. There is also a persistent issue with parking space. Moreover, power cuts and water supply interruptions are common occurrences. Finally, the area is not safe at night due to deserted roads and inadequate patrolling.
