Andhra Pradesh, India, 524001

Nellore district of the Andhra Pradesh is known as the fourth most populous city in the state. This district is located on the banks of the panna river. Nellore city covers the area of 97.82 square kilometres with coordinates of 14.45°N 79.99°E. This place has the population of 2,963,557 out of which 1,42,972 are male and 1,470,583 are female as per 2011 census. People here mainly speak in Telegu. However, English is also widely spoken here.

Governed by the Municipal Corporation of Andhra Pradesh, Nellore has tourist attractions like Sri Thalpagiri Ranganadha Swamy Temple (3.2 km), Sri Mallikarjuna Temple (4.2 km), Bara Shaheed Dargah (3.2 km) etc. Some reputed schools here are Akshara Vidyalaya, Dr. KKR's Gowtham Concept School, Dr. SRK Next Generation School etc. And colleges like Narayana Engineering College, N.B.K.R Institute of Science and Technology etc. Nellore is well-connected by road with NH5 from Chennai to other cities countrywide. While it is connected by APSRTC to major parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The nearby railway station is Nellore railway station which is situated on the Vijayawada-Chennai section of the Chennai-Howrah trunk line. The nearest airport to Nellore is Tirupati Airport, which is 102.4 km away. Other nearby airports are Madras (164.3 km). Nellore has some famous hospitals like Apollo Society Hospital (1.2 km), KIMS Hospital (3.6 km), New Nellore Hospital (1.4 km), St. Joseph's General Hospital (2.2km) etc. Some of the nearby shopping malls are MGB Felicity mall, CMR shopping mall etc. Leading companies like Infosys, Capgemini Deloitte, Cognizant are also present here, along with Andhra Job Hub, one of the leading names in the placement industry present here.
