Panipat, known to be one of the historic cities, is located in Haryana, India. It lies about 95 km north of Delhi, and Chandigarh lies 169 km to its south on the NH-1. With coordinates like 29°23′15″N 76°58′12″E. It is most famously known for the three major battles of 1526, 1556, and 1761 that took place near the city. Although the official language of Panipat is Hindi, you will find Haryanvi-speaking people here as well.
