Bageshwar is a leading town cum municipal board within Uttarakhand’s Bageshwar District. It lies 470 km away from New Delhi and 332 km away from Dehradun. The locality lies at the meeting point of the Rivers Gomati and Saryu. The city has a historical and spiritual past. It is the site of the iconic Uttrayani Fair. The area lies within the Kumaon Division and the governing municipal authority is the Nagar Palika Parishad Bageshwar. The total area is 5.50 square kilometers while the elevation is 935 meters.
